• A significant reduction in fat mass
  • Increases in lean body mass
  • Improvements in fasting blood glucose
  • Improvements in insulin sensitivity
  • Reductions in total cholesterol and triglyceride levels

These are just a sample of the clinically significant effects noted from a recent meta-analysis of over 5000 males age 60 or older on Testosterone therapy. The European Journal of Endocrinology published these results in November following a recent surge in research and publications supporting the use of Testosterone therapy for males experiencing hypogonadism.

In this meta-analysis, Testosterone therapy seemed to have the greatest effect on obese individuals, helping greatly with weight management. We’ve known for a long time that Testosterone plays a role in regulating body composition and improving metabolic efficiency. What this study was not able to show was the intangible effects balancing hormone levels has on quality of life and mood.

Previous studies have shown that balancing Testosterone levels can lead to a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis. It truly provides a comprehensive benefit to those suffer from low Testosterone or hypogonadism.
