Hormone-Specific Lab Timing Requirements

Because our providers are in high demand and we maintain an active waiting list, missed appointments or cancellations made less than 24 hours before your scheduled visit are subject to a $100 no-show/late cancellation fee. This helps protect appointment availability for all patients on our waiting list. 


To cancel or reschedule, please call us at 704-333-4817 as soon as possible, or manage your appointment directly through your ChARM Patient Portal.

Please take the time to complete required forms/ questionnaires and update your medication/ supplement list as needed.

Hormone-Specific Lab Timing Requirements

Please be aware of the following timing criteria for labs to be considered valid:

Estrogen Patch 

  • Labs must be drawn 24–48 hours after patch application. 


Testosterone / Estrogen Troche 

  • Troche must be dissolved in the morning. 
  • Labs must be drawn between 4–5 hours after dosing. 
  • There is one hour of leniency on either side of this timeframe (acceptable range: 3–6 hours after dosing). 


Testosterone / Estrogen Cream 

  • Cream must be applied in the morning. 
  • Labs must be drawn between 4–5 hours after application. 
  • There is one hour of leniency on either side of this timeframe (acceptable range: 3–6 hours after application). 


Pellets 

  • Labs must be drawn 4–6 weeks after pellet insertion or 1-2 weeks prior to pellet insertion 


Testosterone Injection 

  • Testosterone injection for MEN: labs must be drawn 6-7 days after injection 
  • Testosterone Injection for WOMEN: mid cycle injections halfway through their injection cycle so if they get it every 2 weeks then its once a week.
